Fall Break

Fall break begins October 17 for students. Campus offices will be closed on Friday, October 18. Campus will resume normal operations on on Monday, October 21.

With over 18 years professional and management experience, Dr. Watkins has a keen business acumen and proven leadership skills, currently working in the realm of workforce development where she develops and manages a variety of work-based learning (WBL) programs. Watkins’ diverse background in law, education, corporate and nonprofit organizational management equips her with essential experiences to lead major projects and workforce development programs. Her current role includes scaling WBL programs nationally, collaborating with subject matter experts, writing measurable competencies as they relate to specific occupations, creating and conducting prior learning assessments to establish credit for prior knowledge, as well as creating and conducting formative and summative assessment evaluations for WBL programs.

As a member of ASTM International’s Committee E36 on Accreditation and Certification, Dr. Watkins was part of the technical writing committee that created and developed the standard, Standard Practice for Competency-based Workplace Learning Programs (ASTM E3416-23), published in November 2024.
