Elisha Sester began her teaching career at Clay County Middle School. She was a 7th-8th grade Science teacher for 15 years. While at CCMS, she was a member of the Site Based Decision Making Council, a forerunner of designing and implementing NGSS into the classroom, a student-teaching mentor for EKU, a district-based mentor for UC, a presenter of various professional development clinics, extracurricular coach for academics and competitive cheerleading, and a member of various other co-teaching programs.
Mrs. Sester made the move to higher education at the Â鶹´«Ã½ in the Fall of 2023. She is now pursuing her doctoral degree from UC. In her faculty role at UC, she serves as a Field/Clinical Coordinator for the MAT department, as well as an undergraduate professor in the School of Education. She also serves as a University Supervisor for student teachers. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and reading.
